Good morning everyone, and welcome to Sparkle School, where together, we access our innate, iNtuitive wisdom as unique and self-valuing women, and share who we are becoming in a safe, sensitive community.
Last week, we explored what it might mean to exit a cocoon state in some area of life, flex our wings, and fly free. Depending on the area of life that has us leaving the cocoon, this is a birthing process for some aspects of ourselves. Birthing new parts of self is a challenging process for everyone, but, it is especially challenging, for us as iNtuitive-Feeling type women, because every change that we embrace in life, no matter how big or how small, brings with it a myriad of complexities. For us, nothing is simple!
So, when we are trying out new wings in some area of life, we can expect to be a bit confused about our identity. If we’re brand new in some way, then who are we now, in this new situation? What a huge question for iNtuitive-Feeling women? Because we’re often not fully aware of who we are even before we transform in some area of life. Do we fully acknowledge our brilliance? Do we feel entitled to receive rewards for our efforts?
As we prepare to reenter the external world of ‘doing’ with our newly formed wings, and someone asks, “What do you do?”, we wonder what our answer will be. Do we have an elevator speech prepared? Is it even possible to create an elevator speech that covers the multidimensional complexity that we now understand is an essential and inescapable part of who we are as iNtuitive-Feeling women?
Here, in Quadrant 4 of the You Are Here Map, we are in transition, moving away from the quiet and safety of the cocoon, and toward reentry into the doing-focused-Sensing-majority world. That so-called ‘real world’ has always felt a bit strange to us, so as we reenter it, we might lapse a bit into old doubts and fears about our ability to be fully functional there. We might ask, “How will I ever express all of my iNtuitive-Feeling aspects of being? How can I possibly make normal, Sensing-type people understand me? How can I ever feel seen, heard and understood?”
Well, it helps to remember that in our cocoon state, we’ve been getting in touch with our core essence. We’ve been taking ownership of our complex natures, acknowledging our acute sensitivities, and embracing our unique intelligence and ingenuity. So now, flexing our wings really means putting our new empowerment and self-honoring to work, and that is where our Sparkle School community comes in.
Here, we dare to speak out from the new parts of ourselves that are beginning to emerge. We are safe to share the doubts and fears that come along with feeling brand new, without being scripted in any way. We can recognize old patterns as they emerge and try to hold us back or bring us down, and share them in a mood of self-discovery. And, best of all, we can appreciate that our new wings are nothing more than our emerging, full recognition of who we have always been, and celebrate the fact that we’ve come to love and accept ourselves in profound new ways. This changes everything! Let’s move on to our journal prompts to learn more.
